Ever wonder what it’s like to work for QuiBids?
Well, when we’re not out in the community working with awesome charities like the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma or “testing” certain products around the office, we do work really hard to make sure our customers are getting great deals on brand-new products. Whether that’s by building relationships with suppliers, answering questions through customer service, or fulfillment of orders, it often gets really busy around here, especially come holiday season! But we always do our best to keep our work environment similar to our auction model and website: uptempo, exciting, and most importantly, fun.
And so we’re really honored to say that — for the second year running — we’ve been chosen as one of the 30 Best Places to Work in Oklahoma by okcBIZ magazine! Not bad for a company that’s not quite three years old, eh?
BIZ is a monthly magazine published in Oklahoma City that covers business of all types statewide. They’ve been partnering with Best Companies Group for years, annually collecting surveys from employees to determine which companies are the tops in a bunch of different categories, including Leadership and Planning, Corporate Culture and Communications, Role Satisfaction, Work Environment, and Relationship with Supervisor.
Aside from the visionary executive team that started this company and the careful planning they do, we do our best to keep the QuiBids office casual without stagnating, productive without being overbearing, and fun without too many distractions. A company game room (equipped with pingpong and foosball tables, and a Nintendo Wii), incentive deals with a local gym, and bi-weekly visits from a local smoothie/coffee shop are all part of the deal, and it’s a pretty sweet one.
Last year we finished fourth in the Small/Medium Companies category, but at the rate we’ve been growing we might just move up to compete with the large companies in no time! In the meantime, we eagerly anticipate finding out where we finish this year among all the great Oklahoma employers honored for their dedication to cultivating a positive working environment. Best of luck to all the other honorees!
